First Taste: Tea*Rock

My officemate love going to Katipunan and researching about newly opened restaurant there as she is just near the place. So when she learned that UP Town Center just opened its restaurants a few weeks ago we are the first ones to check out the place for newly opened restaurants.

However our first trip there was too early not all restaurants are opened yet and some are still being built. Its already lunch time and we are already hungry so we scout the place for some restaurants that are just in their soft opening. Luckily, we found this place in the back corner of the building. There are already open and people are already eating inside so we decided to eat here. To be frank the real deal maker for these is the milk teas on there menu. The place is called Tea*Rock seems like a taiwanese type of restaurant as most of the dishes they serve seemed like it.

Since this is a milk tea place and we both love/addicted with milk teas we would not pass the chance to try their milk teas. Unfortunately for me,since its just soft opening, the sea salt and cheese winter melon is not yet available so I just ordered their Tiramisu milk tea with plain grass jelly and plain nata.

They do have flavored sinkers though but I am not a fan of those as I want to taste the mixture of the milk tea itself. The taste of this drink is more of a chocolate based than tea based but I do want thd taste as it captures its name. Its chocolatey and has that sutle caffaine kick! If you want something for dessert but need it on the go then this is the best choice

Also, since we are both starving we ordered terriyaki rice bowl to fill our tummy. Since this is a new restaurant and we didnt know what to expect we choose the safest food choice that we both know the taste and we are already hungry so being adventurorus with food is a big no no by this me.

Since we ordered terriyaki, we expected the japanese type of flavor where there is sauce on the rice however, their take on was a dry one. The dish was more close to a pork belly bbq than a terriyaki but the serving was huge!!! The 120pesos rice bowl meal qas super worth it and it alsp comes with adobo egg and veggies! Its really a steal in that price! I would eat again here once they have fully open the restaurant. ^_^

By the way the Tiramisu milk tea was pricw 110 pesos for large.

Bon appetit,
